01Summary

AISummary by Kvorumclaude-haiku-4-5

AIP continuation that increases Reserve Factors for 7 assets on Polygon v2 by 5% (up to max 99.99%), reducing deposit yields and encouraging migration to v3 while routing more interest to Aave DAO Treasury.

Type
parameter change

Key changes

  • Reserve Factor for DAI increased to 31.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for USDC increased to 33.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for USDT increased to 32.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for wBTC increased to 65.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for wETH increased to 55.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for MATIC increased to 51.00%(medium)
  • Reserve Factor for BAL increased to 42.00%(medium)
  • Increased RF routes larger portion of interest paid by users to Aave DAO Treasury(high)

Notable concerns

  • User deposit yields on Polygon v2 will decrease
  • This is a continuation of AIP 284, indicating ongoing multi-phase parameter adjustments

Simple Summary

This AIP is a continuation of AIP 284 and increases the Reserve Factor (RF) for assets on Polygon v2 by 5%, up to a maximum of 99.99%.

Motivation

This AIP will reduce deposit yield for assets on Polygon v2 by increasing the RF. With this upgrade being passed, users will be further encouraged to migrate from Polygon v2 to v3.

Increasing the RF routes a larger portion of the interest paid by users to Aave DAO's Treasury. User's funds are not at risk of liquidation and the borrowing rate remains unchanged.

Of the assets with an RF set at 99.99%, there is no change. All other asset reserves will have the RF increased by 5%.

The next AIP will be submitted during the first week of October.

Specification

The following parameters are to be updated as follows:

AssetReserve Factor
DAI31.00%
USDC33.00%
USDT32.00%
wBTC65.00%
wETH55.00%
MATIC51.00%

03Mismatch analysis

AIMismatch analysis by Kvorumlow confidenceclaude-sonnet-5
Consistent

The decoded calldata consists of a single top-level action: a call to execute(address) targeting a payload contract address (0x40fa5610f17A99D20bD428810bEc965fe4694238). This address matches the 'Deployed Contracts' link cited in the proposal's Implementation section, which is a strong positive signal that the on-chain action corresponds to the payload described in the proposal. However, the actual Reserve Factor changes for each individual asset (DAI, USDC, USDT, wBTC, wETH, MATIC, BAL) are implemented inside that payload contract's own logic, which is not exposed as separate decoded sub-actions here. Because only the outer execute() call is visible, I cannot directly verify the specific percentage values, asset targets, or the 99.99% cap logic against calldata - I can only confirm that the call routes to the correct, previously-audited payload contract referenced in the description. Nothing in the visible decoded action contradicts the description, but the granular claims (specific RF percentages per asset) cannot be independently confirmed from this decoded data alone. This warrants low confidence rather than a flagged discrepancy, since there is no evidence of mismatch, but also no way to fully verify the numeric claims from the calldata provided. There is no sign of extra hidden transfers, role grants, or unrelated targets, so the assessment remains consistent barring that verification limitation.
