01Summary

AISummary by Kvorumclaude-haiku-4-5

Technical proposal to register three bridge adapters (Hyperlane, LayerZero, CCIP) on Ethereum's Aave Delivery Infrastructure to enable message passing from Ethereum to Plasma network. This is a prerequisite for the upcoming Aave v3 Plasma pool activation vote. Sets optimal bandwidth to 2 with 2-of-3 adapter confirmations required.

Type
protocol addition

Key changes

  • Enable Hyperlane, LayerZero, and CCIP bridge adapters on Ethereum Cross-chain Controller for Ethereum-to-Plasma communication(high)
  • Set optimal bandwidth for Ethereum-to-Plasma path to 2(medium)
  • Configure 2-of-3 adapter confirmation requirement for Ethereum-to-Plasma messaging(high)
  • Deploy new a.DI infrastructure contracts on Plasma network (CrossChainController, Granular Guardian, Chainlink Emergency Oracle)(high)
  • Deploy Aave Governance contracts on Plasma network (PayloadsController, Executor Lvl 1, Governance Guardian, BGD Labs Guardian)(high)

Notable concerns

  • Plasma network explorer is still in pre-release with restricted access
  • Chainlink Emergency Oracle implementation to be deployed by Chainlink during proposal lifecycle
  • This is a technical prerequisite; actual Aave v3 Plasma activation requires a separate vote

Simple Summary

Proposal to register the necessary Plasma adapters on a.DI, a technical pre-requirement for an activation vote of Aave v3 Plasma.

Motivation

In order to be able to pass messages from Ethereum to Plasma via a.DI (Aave Delivery Infrastructure), it is necessary to at least have three valid adapters Ethereum → Plasma smart contracts enabled in the system.

The first case of message passing Ethereum → Plasma is the activation proposal for an Aave v3 Plasma pool and consequently, to be able to execute on the Plasma side the payload, the Aave governance should approve in advance the a.DI adapters smart contracts.

This procedure mirrors the requirements on previous networks like Sonic, or Celo.

Specification

The proposal payload simply registers pre-deployed Plasma adapters (with the necessary configurations to communicate with the Plasma a.DI) on the Ethereum a.DI instance.

This is done by calling the enableBridgeAdapters() function on the Ethereum Cross-chain Controller smart contract.

The optimal bandwidth on the Ethereum -> Plasma path is set to 2, by calling updateOptimalBandwidthByChain().

The following are the configured adapters for the Ethereum → Plasma path. The required confirmations on the path are 2 out of 3.

  • Chainlink Emergency Oracle implementation will be deployed by Chainlink during proposal life cycle

03Mismatch analysis

AIMismatch analysis by Kvorumlow confidenceclaude-sonnet-5
Consistent

The proposal follows the standard Aave governance payload pattern: a single on-chain action invokes execute() on a dedicated payload contract, which internally performs the granular actions (enableBridgeAdapters, updateOptimalBandwidthByChain) described in the prose. The decoded calldata only shows this single execute() call with no arguments, so the actual adapter addresses, bandwidth value, and confirmation thresholds cannot be independently verified from the calldata alone — they are only visible in the linked payload source code, which is referenced but not part of the decoded actions provided. Because the top-level action itself is fully consistent with what proposals of this type look like (no unexpected extra calls, no target mismatch at this level, no funds movement), there is no basis to flag a discrepancy. However, since the specific numeric/address claims in the description cannot be cross-checked against the opaque execute() call, confidence in a full verification is low. This is a common and expected limitation for Aave-style payload proposals and does not itself indicate any issue.
